With his first full season of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition coming to a close, Robert Richardson will attempt to make his career-first NASCAR Busch Series start at the Lowe's Motor Speedway this Friday, October 13th in the Dollar General 300.

Richardson is also scheduled to compete in the O'Reilly Challenge NASCAR Busch Series event November 4, 2006, at his home track of the Texas Motor Speedway.

"I'm really looking forward to some time behind the wheel of the Busch car this weekend," Robert Richardson said.  "This No. 80 Chevy is pretty stout so I think we will have a good chance of making the race.  But our main focus for Charlotte is seat time and preparation for Texas.  We want to use this weekend for a test to see what we need to work on for the race next month at TMS.  The tracks are similar enough in size to use as comparison.  Having this race at Lowe's Motor Speedway which is so close to the shop in Mooresville, we figured it would be to our advantage to run this week as well."

Richardson has competed in many forms of Motorsports during his short five-year career where he started racing in the Legends Series before moving into the NASCAR Southeast Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series.  In 2006, Richardson has competed full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series where he has experienced the highs and lows of big league NASCAR competition. But this week Richardson and his R3 team will be taking momentum from their career-best NCTS finish this past weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway when the McKinney, Texas native finished in the 16th position making him the highest finishing Raybestos Rookie in the race.

"Having such a good run in Talladega helps," Richardson said.  "We knew we had a pretty decent truck for the race. With Kevin (Caldwell) making that call in the pits for fuel only, it really helped us keep up in the draft.  This team has worked hard all season with too many - wrong place at the wrong time - type of accidents and needed this boost to carry us through the remainder of the season. I'm excited about driving in the NASCAR Busch Series this weekend and have to thank everyone involved; especially my dad for all his support."

The Dollar General 300 NASCAR Busch Series event is slated to begin at 8:00 pm ET Friday, October 13th and will be televised live on TNT and can be heard on MRN and XM Satellite Radio.

Robert Richardson is still looking to secure sponsorship for the 2007 NASCAR Season where he will be running a limited Busch Series schedule as well as his race commitments to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
