Race after race Atlanta Motor Speedway showcases some the best racing on circuit at one of the premiere facilities on the circuit. It's side-by-side racing from the drop of the green flag through to the close finishes at the waving of the checkered flag. The only thing missing is you. Start you weekend off with qualifying under the lights with Georgia-Pacific Qualifying and watch all the stars of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup vie for the pole position for Sunday's big race. Qualifying will be followed by what's sure to be an intense wheel-to-wheel race on AMS's 1/4-mile track, Thunder Ring, as the ASA Southern Modified Series comes to the Speedway for the first time. Saturday is another day with two action-packed events. The top drivers in several racing series including three-time IRL champion Sam Hornish Jr. The heart-pounding weekend comes to an end on Sunday with the Bass Pro Shops 500. It's the seventh race in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
