Benson took the honor for the third time in 2006 and for the second time in the last three races. He has led 13 times in seven races for a total of 264 laps. Benson finished 11th in the race after being involved in an accident on the final lap.

Benson is second in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, 121 behind leader Todd Bodine. He leads third-place David Reutimann by 134 points. Mike Skinner leads the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings over Benson and Todd Bodine (7-3).
