Dennis Setzer, No. 85 Shell Rotella T Silverado: "Our Silverado is driving really good. It does depend on who is behind you or you are behind how fast you are. Drives good right now, we will see how it races. The track is just ultra smooth; it is just as smooth as they said it was. You know, I was down here running the paver and I must have done a pretty good job (Chuckles). We are going to see three and four wide racing all day Saturday and maybe five wide at times. It is going to be exciting; I didn't see anyone out there that couldn't run in the draft."

Joe Nemechek, No. 46 U.S. Army Silverado: "Our laps out there today were pretty uneventful. I can't believe how smooth the track is. My hat is off to the asphalt company that paved the track and Talladega Superspeedway for getting it smooth, it is incredible. There is a lot of grip out there. You can run high, you can run low, you can run wherever you want to run. I think it gives all of us drivers the satisfaction in the fact it is going to be easy to race here, so when you think that, I think you are going to see four-wide racing. I don't know if that is going to be good or not. But just the security that the track gives you tells you that you will be able to do it. There will be three-wide racing all day; I can guarantee you are going to see that. It is neat for me to get back in to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with the Army on board with myself in this Morgan Dollar Silverado. It is nice to have some of my old employees (Eric Phillips, crew chief was with NEMCO Motorsports as crew chief and is Nemechek's brother-in-law), it is good times."

Mike Bliss, No. 16 Xpress Motorsports Silverado: "We spent all of our time on race setup and never did a qualifying setup because it doesn't matter. We got better every adjustment we made but still aren't quite as fast as we need to be. With the track as smooth as it is, we just kept trying to get more aggressive on the setup to make it freer. This isn't even the same Talladega I have raced on before. The difference though is with the trucks, we are out there in packs of five or seven or eight trucks, whereas in the cars, you are out there in packs of 20 cars, so it is harder to get back to back changes when you come in and go back out. It is going to be an exciting race, no question."

Ron Hornaday Jr., No. 33 AES HR Solutions Silverado: "You know what, I have raced in a lot of places, but I have never raced on anything this smooth. I know our truck is really good; Wally (Rogers, crew chief) and the guys built an awesome Chevy Silverado to come down here, so we are just going to have to see how it all shakes out. I know it drafts up good and drives good; it is a matter of who is going to help you in the race. We are going to try and work with some Chevys out there and if we can all gang up on Saturday, we are going to be really good. I have never seen a track this smooth so hang on."
