The racing series that christened the new high banks of Las Vegas Motor Speedway will return to LVMS in 2007.
Speedway officials announced Tuesday that next year's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race will be held on Sept. 22. The 2007 event will be the 11th visit by the Truck Series to LVMS. Mike Skinner became the first driver to win on the new 20-degree banked superspeedway with his victory in Saturday night's Smith's Las Vegas 350. Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
The NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series event will be the second major event weekend on the superspeedway in 2007. The NASCAR Nextel Cup Series UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series events are scheduled for March 9-11, 2007.
