Drivers from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series were introduced to Las Vegas Motor Speedway's new high banks this weekend, and most can't wait for a return engagement.

"I really like it," said Mike Skinner, who won Saturday night's Smith's Las Vegas 350. "I liked the old race track, but the new track is really fun to drive. I think we saw more racing grooves out there and it will only get better."

Even drivers who didn't have a strong run were impressed by the new configuration of the speedway, which has increased the banking in the turns from 12 to 20 degrees.

"It's awesome, man," said David Starr, who finished 20th Saturday night. "I really like it. They did a great job with it."

Here is a sampling of what other drivers are saying about the changes:

Jeremy Mayfield: "It's really fast. I have had some good runs here on the old track, but I am really anxious to get back here in a (Nextel) Cup car and check it out. I think once it has the winter to cure and all those driving schools, there will be a lot of racing grooves out there."

Johnny Benson: "This track will lend itself to a lot of side-by-side racing. It's going to be exciting for the race fans and the drivers."

Todd Bodine: "I really like what they have done here. I won a Truck race and a Busch race on the old configuration, so I was a little skeptical. But it's a fun track to race on and it will only get better."
