With almost 3 weeks off, a new hauler design, a couple of days of golf in Daytona Beach for the Mike Skinner Charity Tournament and trip to Mobile for the Circle Bar late model team (driven by Adam Crawford) had Rick Crawford and his team's batteries recharged for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series stretch run for the championship. In this years Sylvania 200 the Circle Bar team would try and accomplish what no other team had ever done before, return to victory lane in Louden New Hampshire.

In 2005 Crawford piloted Circle Bar chassis CB 17 to victory in Louden, a high point in what had been a tough year for the Ozona based team. Since the Louden victory in 2005 CB 17 had been wrecked hard, brought back from the dead and renamed "Elvis" for Memphis. Shortly after it's resurrection, "Elvis" posted the team's first win of the 2006 season at O'Reilly Raceway Park. Looking for a repeat, crew chief, Kevin "Cowboy" Starland, called on Elvis for an encore performance in New Hampshire. Much like it's namesake, Elvis was a little groggy and sluggish in the morning practice, putting the team just outside the top 10 on the speed chart. Cowboy and the gang worked feverishly trying to bring life back to their finicky performer. A round of changes and a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich had Elvis in the top 10 in the final practice on Friday afternoon and the team looking forward to Saturday. Qualifying for the Sylvania 200 was early Saturday morning and Elvis not being a morning person, posted a 12th place qualifying effort.

From the drop of the green flag Crawford knew Elvis had come to perform and the Ford F-150 started to make its way to the front. Debris would bring out the caution flag on lap 41 and the lead lap trucks made their way down pit road for the first stop of the day. The Circle Bar over the wall gang changed 4 Goodyear Wranglers, Sunoco fuel, performed a round of changes and picked up 3 spots on pit road. Back under green Crawford moved his F-150 into the 6th spot while he and Cowboy planned for their final stop and the changes they would make to get them to victory lane. On lap 89 Crawford and Musgrave were racing side by side as they entered turned 3, Musgrave pinched his truck off on corner entry to keep from hitting Crawford and Musgrave went spinning. On his way to the wall Musgrave clipped the Circle Bar machine and Elvis was all shook up but kept on going. Under caution, Musgrave pulled his shortened Tundra beside the Circle Bar Ford to express his displeasure about the incident. A couple of sideswipes later NASCAR would park last years defending champ for the day. With fresh damage from the wreck and the post wreck incident, the Circle Bar over the wall gang would have their hands full on their final stop. The team would come in 6th needing 4 Goodyears, a fuel cell packed to the max of Sunoco fuel and patch up the damage, all while keeping themselves in contention for the win. The team performed a remarkable stop keeping Crawford in the top 10. Back under green, Crawford was able to pick off a few of his fellow NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitors but Elvis wasn't the same truck it was before the caution. The Circle Bar team settled for a 7th place finish moving up a spot in the championship standings to 4th.

Crew chief Kevin "Cowboy" Starland: "We just missed it a little off the trailer and we thought we had something for them at the end but we never got a chance to show our hand. The guys had great stops and we moved up a spot in the points. We had a good test in Las Vegas and we're looking forward to going back."

Driver Rick Crawford: "I'm not really sure what the deal is with Ted (Musgrave), we went down into turn 3 side by side and the next thing I know his truck hit mine and my truck was sideways. I was able to gather mine up and keep going. Obviously, from his reaction under caution he thinks I did something to cause the wreck. I'm not sure what that is but if he thinks I owe him an apology, I apologize. Ted and I have been racing against each other for 20 years and anyone that follows this series knows I don't race like that. Today was another solid day for our Circle Bar team and I really thought we had a chance to make it 2 in a row but it just didn't work out."
