Marcos Ambrose started 14th and finished 23rd at the New Hampshire 200 last Saturday at the New Hampshire International Speedway.
Marcos Ambrose on New Hampshire: "We were really fast in practice on Friday and we weren't too bad during the race. We lost track position early and we just couldn't get it back. We came with new ideas for the chassis and we learned a lot about our truck. No matter what kind of setup you use, if you're not up front, you're not in clean air and you're fighting for traction. That never changes, especially at place like New Hampshire."
Marcos Ambrose on the season: "The toughest thing for a new team and a rookie driver, especially for a driver like me who's never driven a stock car before, are the short tracks. New Hampshire may be considered a speedway, but it's really nothing more than a great big short track. You spend most of the day sliding around and beating and banging like a short track. We've come a long way on tracks like this, but we still have more to learn."
Crew Chief Gary Gogswell on New Hampshire: "With the impound rules, you have to race with the same setup from qualifying. We're working harder to build more flexibility in our trucks so we can take out our qualifying stuff during the race. We brought a brand new package to New Hampshire and we learned a lot about it. It's still a work in progress. It's something all the teams will be working with in the next few weeks, so I'm sure everyone's eager to get back to the shop and figure out what we've learned."
