Double-Duty Weekend On Tap for Bodine

Coming off of a second place finish in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, Todd Bodine moves on to a mountain of goals to accomplish in Loudon, N.H. Bodine will compete in both the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Craftsman Truck Series races, for a total of 300 laps of racing action at New Hampshire International Speedway. In the Craftsman Truck Series race, he'll be racing to keep his No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota Tundra atop the points standings and in the No. 50 Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project modified, he'll be racing to gather money to be used to continue the training and sled-building for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled team.

"I've always loved New Hampshire International Speedway. I ran the very first NASCAR sanctioned race up there. I've always enjoyed the track," said Bodine.

Bodine will compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for the 100-lap race on Friday, to raise money for the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project, a project founded by Geoff Bodine and three New England racing and business names, Bob Cuneo, Don Barker and the late Bob Vallencourt. All race winnings and sponsorship dollars from his Modified racing effort will go to the Project.

"We're running the modified race on Friday for an old friend, Don Barker. He built the car specifically for me to race to raise money for the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project. Carl Edwards ran the car for us in July. The race should be a lot of fun, but it won't help us with the Tundra set up at all. We're just hoping to raise a good amount of money for the bobsled project between the racing and the t-shirt sales."

Bodine has raced in a Bo-Dyn bobsled at the Lake Placid, N.Y., training facility among the likes of Dick Trickle, Boris Said and Stanton Barrett. Bodine set a high qualifying time and enjoyed the experience.
