Ted Musgrave was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in the Emerson Radio 250. Musgrave led the race once for 11 laps and captured the award for the first time this season. Musgrave claimed a 21st-place finish on the lead lap.

"We'll take anything that helps this team out a little bit," said Musgrave. "I got a feeling after I walked around the car that I think all that WIX money is going to go into some bodywork . That's what really kind of happened is that I lost all the downforce on the front end. I got back in traffic there with the fender punched in and nose up and there was actually a big gash on the hood. I couldn't go anywhere after I got back in traffic. The guys tried real hard, we led laps, the car was good in the beginning until I damaged the nose. Maybe we'll just work on this thing, buff it up a little bit and get to the next race and do a better job at this."
