The reinstallation of SAFER barriers and fencing is nearly complete around the walls of Talladega Superspeedway as crews continue paving the final elements in Talladega Superspeedway's monumental paving project that began May 2. In addition, work is nearly complete on the 12-foot transporter truck lane and aprons along the interior of the track surface. Crews are also working on paving skid pad areas along the backstretch.

The entire project will be completed by the track's fall UAW-Ford 500 event weekend, set for Oct. 6 - 8. Tickets are available now by logging on to www.talladegasuperspeedway.com.
