| East, No. 21 Ford Review: Bristol
08-28-2006 | TruckSeries.com Report
Bobby East (Ronda Greer Photo) Bobby East started 21st last Wednesday night at the O'Reilly 200 in his State Fair Corn Dogs/Edy's Dibs Ford F-150 at the Bristol Motor Speedway. He finished 29th. East's next race will be the Sylvania 200 at the New Hampshire International Speedway on Sept. 16. Bobby East on Bristol: "As a race fan, Bristol is one of the most-exciting racetracks in NASCAR. As a driver, the view is a little different. Bristol was everything I've heard: fast, loud and aggressive. Everything happed so quickly and if you're off by just a tick, it was magnified. We learned a lot about the track and our State Fair Corn Dogs/Edy's Dibs Ford, and now I can't wait to go back there next year." Bobby East on the season: "It was another step in the right direction. The truth is you can turn a bad finish into a good experience if you learn something. When you're a first-year team with a rookie driver, it's important you take something from every race. We worked on the truck during practice and we made adjustments on it during the race. We made it better each time. We just didn't have enough laps to get it perfect." Crew Chief John Monsam on Bristol: "We're a little disappointed by our finish, but we're pleased with the effort. As a group we got better. We made the truck better during each practice and during the race. The best part is, the communications level between Bobby and me and everyone else on the team continues to get better. This was another step in the learning process, and it was a step in the right direction." Bobby East's 2006 Season Highlights
