| EMP Stewart Components Sweeps Bristol NASCAR Cup, Busch And Truck Events
08-28-2006 | TruckSeries.com Report
Clean Sweep. That's what Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman provided this weekend as EMP Stewart Components cooled vehicles won every honor available during the NASCAR tripleheader at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway. Kenseth was the king of the hill winning both the Sharpie 500 Nextel Cup race Saturday and the Food City 500 Friday. Martin grabbed both the win and the pole position for Wednesday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. Throw in Kurt Busch and Jeff Burton taking the two front-row spots in the Cup race and Newman's top qualifying effort in the Busch Series event, and you have a total whitewash of the NASCAR weekend. "That's pretty amazing," said Jeff Canull, EMP Stewart Components general manager. "It's a great accomplishment for any company to have their product on a winning NASCAR racer, but to have three wins and three poles in as many races - and to do it at Bristol - is really something for our company."
