Toyota Race Notes: Bristol

  Discuss

Todd Bodine, Germain Racing, No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra: "We didn't have anything for Mark (Martin) tonight. He was just playing with us tonight. Our truck went away at the end of the race. I had Teddy (Musgrave) behind me and he was taking it easy on me tonight. It was a good night as far as the points race. I think we picked up some points on Johnny. So, from that standpoint, it was a pretty good night. To come out of Bristol second, that's what we had to do for the points."

Ted Musgrave, Germain Racing, No. 9 Team ASE/Germain Toyota Tundra: "The crew made a great call when we came in early for tires and fuel. We just rode around and tried to save our tires for the end of the race. I tried to take it easy -- and hold our position. Towards the end of the race -- my truck was just a little 'off.' But, tonight we ran like we ran at the beginning of the year. Todd (Bodine) and I were running up front, along with Mark (Martin)."

David Starr, Red Horse Racing, No. 11 Red Horse Racing Tundra: "I'm happy with a top-five finish because I messed up in qualifying and hit the wall off turn two. That messed the truck up and I had to go to the back of the pack when we started. We had a good truck. I wanted to move forward, but be smart at the same time. Good run for the Red Horse Racing team. We probably could have been a little bit better, but we had to get what we could get coming from the back."
