David Starr, Red Horse Racing, No. 11 ToyotaForklift.net Tundra:
What did you do on your last pit stop?
"We did four tires and filled it up with fuel. Jamie (Jones, crew chief) and all the guys on the Red Horse Racing team did a great job on the pit stops. We were a little 'tight' and they tried to 'free-it-up' in the center, and we just didn't get enough. It just wouldn't quite rotate the way we needed it to. We're happy to come home with a top-five finish. This has been a tough place for me over the years. It was a good night for us."

How close were you to passing Ron Hornaday, Jr. at the end? "I was close. I could get underneath him, but he had the momentum up off the corners. I could drive underneath him, but I just couldn't get it to cut quite enough. I wanted to make sure I stayed off of him because a couple of times I'd get happy with the throttle and push up into him. I wanted to pass him, but I wanted to do it clean. All in all, it was a good night for the Red Horse Racing team."

Todd Bodine, Germain Racing, No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra:
"We didn't have a good truck. So, to get from 29th to seventh is like a win. We did what we had to do for the points. Our short track program has struggled a bit, and this race was a good change. I could race the guys, which was good."

Bill Lester, Bill Davis Racing, No. 22 Allstate Tundra:
"We got the truck free, track bar and air pressure, and that's what we needed. After the second pit stop we had just what we needed. We hated to have all those cautions, because I thought we would have been able to get a couple more spots. This is our best finish on a short track this year, which gives us some momentum heading into Nashville."

  • Last year here, David Reutimann was the top-finishing Toyota at Indianapolis when he ended up 11th.
  • In 2004, Travis Kvapil was the top-finishing Toyota at Indianapolis when he crossed the finish line fourth.
