Aric Almirola led Team Chevy Silverado in qualifying for the Power Stroke Diesel 200 to land his career-best starting position. Almirola's time of 22.578 seconds, 109.381 miles a hour was good enough to put him on the outside of row one. Defending race winner Dennis Setzer posted the seventh quickest time with two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday setting the 10th fastest time at O'Reilly Raceway Park.

Mike Bliss, #16 Xpress Motorsport Silverado, Qualified 11th: "We haven't been really good, and we have been tight all day. We actually tried a qualifying run in practice, and we were terrible. We did a lot of different stuff to the truck during practice to make it better during the race, so I think that we should be okay for the race. I think making those adjustments during practice helped us for qualifying, although we were a little free, but that is just kind of what is going to happen."

Dennis Setzer, #85 E85 FlexFuel Silverado, Qualified 7th: "Our laps weren't bad, our Silverado has been pretty good all during practice, and were good during qualifying also. We were a little bit loose, but that is okay. I am looking forward to the race, and hopefully taking our Silverado back to victory lane again this year. Our team has worked really hard getting this truck prepared, and I cannot thank them enough."

Aric Almirola, #75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado, Qualified 2nd: "I am really proud of my guys, and I have a really fast race truck. We only worked on the race runs during practice, and to have a qualifying lap like that is cool, because I know we have a good race truck. Hopefully, we can put up a good finish for Chevrolet, if not get our first win tonight. I think we will be good to go for the race, so I am excited."

Ron Hornaday, #33 Kevin Harvick Inc. Silverado, Qualified 10th: "We have been tight all day, and we were free when we got here, and we were just a little tight out there. Hopefully the track holds out, and the truck was just a little bit too snug for our qualifying lap, but I think we can have a great run in our Silverado. I think we can keep our momentum going and get a win tonight, that would be awesome."
