Robert Richardson took part in Tuesday night's sneak preview event of 'Talladega Nights, the Ballad of Ricky Bobby' which was hosted by the Texas Motor Speedway. Richardson attended the event with his father and team owner of R3 Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Robert Richardson Sr. After a grand entrance in the Texas Motor Speedway pace car, Richardson was able to enjoy the movie which he remembers being a part of during the filming last October.

"When I was competing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series last season at the Talladega Superspeedway they were filming 'Talladega Nights' and I got to meet Will Ferrell on the starting line right before our race started," said Richardson. "He stopped and shook my hand, I asked him if he wanted to drive my car in the race and he said that he would rather have my horseshoe necklace. But I was really impressed that he stopped to say hello and it made the whole team really look forward to the movie coming out."

Both Richardson and his father not only enjoyed the festivities leading up to the screening of the movie Tuesday night, but also thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

"That was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen," said Richardson. "There were times I think we had trouble breathing because we were both laughing so hard. It is all about taking a look at our industry and finding the humor and there is a lot of humor. I'm pretty sure that everyone that works in racing will find the movie hysterical and I'm sure I will go back and see it again while it is out in theatres."

This weekend Richardson and the rest of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series return to action as the series heads to the O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Indiana for Friday night's running of the Powerstroke Diesel 200. The race is scheduled to take the green flag at 8:30pm ET and the event will be televised live on SPEED.
