The Milwaukee Mile has announced that its Chairman, Craig Stoehr, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation on July 27th.

The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is a non-profit sports management organization that helps develop sports tourism in Wisconsin and promotes positive lifestyles and physical fitness through amateur athletic events and health education programs. Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation properties include the Badger State Games, the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, Shape Up Wisconsin Kids, Lighten Up Wisconsin, and the Fit Kids Challenge. The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is also the local host of Ironman Wisconsin.

"We are pleased that Craig Stoehr has accepted our invitation to join the Board of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation," said Marty Greenberg, the Board's Chairman. "Craig's extensive international sports-related experience, along with his role as Chairman of The Milwaukee Mile, which is the oldest continuously operating motor speedway in the world as well as one of Wisconsin's most valuable sports-related community assets, make him a natural addition to the Board, and we look forward to his participation."

Mr. Stoehr became Chairman of The Milwaukee Mile on January 1st of this year, when his private equity investment company, Badger Pacific Equity Partners LLC, took over the promoter role at The Milwaukee Mile along with a group of local Wisconsin investors. He has a long history of sports-related involvement, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Grand Prix Group Worldwide Limited, one of the leading sports marketing agencies involved in Formula 1 auto racing, America's Cup sailing, and other international sports.

"I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to serve on the Board of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation," said Mr. Stoehr. "I will do everything I can to assist the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation with its strategic objectives, and look forward to working closely with Marty Greenberg and the other members of the Board to promote sports in Wisconsin."

During 2002 and 2003, Mr. Stoehr served as chief executive of the Class 1 World Powerboat Championship, the world's premier powerboat racing world championship. In this role, he oversaw all of the Championship's business activities, including directing the staging of Grand Prix events throughout Europe and the Middle East, with spectator audiences of between 150,000 and 1 million per event.

Mr. Stoehr has also had significant exposure to the world of international soccer, having worked on various legal, business development and marketing matters for several companies in connection with the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups, as well as with international soccer stars Pele, Ronaldo, Roberto Baggio, and many others. He also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of a privately owned sports-related online media company and a Lucent Technologies sports and entertainment media venture, as well as Corporate Finance Director of a $1.1 billion NASDAQ-listed media and communications company.

Mr. Stoehr began his career as a corporate attorney with the New York office of Latham & Watkins, one of the world's largest law firms. He has advised or been involved in sports marketing-related activities with a number of leading consumer brands, and has appeared on numerous television programs speaking about the business of sports marketing, including CNN and CNBC Europe. He has also been quoted in numerous publications throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Mr. Stoehr earned his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A. with a Major in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. Before returning to Wisconsin full-time in June 2005, Mr. Stoehr lived and worked in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Istanbul and Dubai.
