Krisiloff Out, Grubb In No. 15 Chevy at Kentucky

Krisiloff Out, Grubb In No. 15 Chevy at KentuckyBilly Ballew, owner of Billy Ballew Motorsports, announced that 20-year-old Indianapolis native Kyle Krisiloff will no longer drive the No. 15 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  Kevin Grubb will take over the No. 15 for this weekend's race at Kentucky Speedway, as well as next week's event at Memphis Motorsports Park.  Billy Ballew Motorsports is currently 24th in the owners' points standings.

"Due to a lack of payment and breach of contract by Steve Krisiloff, Kyle's father, and 21st Century Technology, Inc., Kyle Krisiloff will no longer be the driver of the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet," states Ballew.  "We are very upset about this and now it is in the hands of the attorneys.  We plan on filing a lawsuit immediately."

Meanwhile, the Billy Ballew Motorsports team will continue to build competitive trucks to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and will head to this weekend's event at Kentucky Speedway with the 28-year-old Grubb.  Grubb has four previous starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, with two coming in 1997 and two in 1996.  His best finish of the four is an 11th place at New Hampshire International Speedway.

"In light of the situation, we're glad to have Kevin Grubb join our operation," Ballew said.  "Originally, we had planned on taking Kevin to Kentucky anyway to run our second truck, the No. 51.  So now, he'll jump in the No. 15 Woodard Pools Chevrolet and do a fine job for us."

"I'm really excited to join Billy Ballew Motorsports," Grubb said.  "The team has already won a race this year (with Kyle Busch in the No. 51) and hopefully we can get another win in the next couple of races.  I'm excited to work with Richie Wauters (Crew Chief).  We worked together briefly in the past and it's nice to return to a familiar face.  I've also known Billy (Ballew) since he was first getting into the truck racing.  We always talked about teaming up together and now we've got the chance.  I hope to make good things happen from this opportunity."

Grubb heads to the Kentucky Speedway with greater enthusiasm as he just competed at the 1.5-mile facility three weeks ago in the NASCAR Busch Series race.  "I am excited to head to Kentucky Speedway again," continues Grubb.  "I just raced there and was fast in all the practice sessions.  We just didn't quite have the finish we wanted.  It's a good track and it's big enough so that the racing is good.  I'm hoping to be competitive and bring home a good finish for Billy Ballew Motorsports and the No. 15 Woodard Pools team."

Woodard Pools and Spas, based out of Waycross, Ga., will join forces with Billy Ballew Motorsports to sponsor the No. 15 Chevrolet this weekend at Kentucky.  Davie Woodard, President of Woodard Pools and Spas, said, "We're extremely proud to be the sponsor of the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet and driver Kevin Grubb for this weekend's race at Kentucky Speedway."
