Kyle Krisiloff and the No. 15 Krud Kutter Chevrolet gained a few spots from his starting position to finish in 32nd position in the AAA Insurance 200 at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
After starting in the 35th position, Krisiloff moved to 31st following his first pit stop on lap seven during the first caution period. The second caution came quickly afterwards on lap 11 and several others pitted, moving the No. 15 Krud Kutter Chevrolet up to the 26th position.
Krisiloff had struggled with the handling on his truck during practice and the new set-up the Billy Ballew Motorsports team put on it was still not to his liking. Krisiloff commented, "I can't run the bottom. I'm still very loose." By lap 30, Krisiloff had dropped to 32nd and when the third caution came on lap 36, the No. 15 was brought down pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments.
On lap 57, the right rear tire had lost its grip and Krisiloff radioed to the crew that he was coming in for a pit stop. They managed to change four tires and add more fuel and send the No. 15 Krud Kutter Silverado on its way. Now two laps down, Krisiloff would maintain his 32nd position until the end of the race, as he was on a lap by himself.
"I'm disappointed we didn't run better than we did," said Krisiloff. "We came here with intentions of running well since this is my favorite track and the record for Billy Ballew Motorsports at Michigan is exceptional. I was hoping to base my past experiences here and relay them to the truck, but it just didn't work out the way we would've liked for the No. 15 Krud Kutter team. We'll just move on to Milwaukee for the next race."
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series moves to The Milwaukee Mile this Friday night for the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200.
