Rookie Preview: Michigan

Chad McCumbee was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the June 9 Sam's Town 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. McCumbee finished ninth, his best finish in eight career Craftsman Truck Series starts and took top rookie honors for the first time this season. He led the race once for one lap, the first time he has led a lap in his Craftsman Truck Series career.

Kraig Kinser qualified third at Texas, his best qualifying effort in eight career Craftsman Truck Series races. Kinser's best previous starting position was ninth at Atlanta in March (race number three).

Erik Darnell leads the Raybestos Rookie standings by 14 points (84-70) over Aric Almirola entering the June 17 Con-way Freight 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Darnell is 15th in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. He trails 10th-place Matt Crafton by 129 points and leads 16th-place Mike Skinner by 58.

Todd Kluever was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2005 Con-way Freight 200, claiming a 15th-place finish.

Kurt Busch owns the best finish by a Raybestos Rookie at Michigan, a second place effort in 2000.
