Dennis Setzer powered his No. 85 E85 FlexFuel Silverado to seventh place in the finishing order of the City of Mansfield 250 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. His solid run moved him to seventh in the NCTS driver point standings.
"It was a decent run in our Silverado at Mansfield," said Setzer. "We always want to be competing for the win, but you just couldn't pass out there. You really had to be a lot better than the truck in front of you if you want to pass here. If you are just a little off, you couldn't pass.
"I am not sure if all of the yellow flags were a bad or a good thing, the same for everyone on that. It was just hard to pass, just tough. Now we head to Dover and see if we can't be farther toward the front there."
Setzer started the 250-lap/125-mile race in the eight position after qualifying was cancelled due to torrential rain. The only time the veteran driver and perennial NCTS favorite was out of the top-10 was when pit stop cycles shook up the running order.
The Newton, NC native will make his 200th NCTS start in the 200-lap/200-mile AAA Insurance 200 on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Dover International Speedway, Dover, DE.
Practice will begin on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. EDT with final practice scheduled to conclude at 5:30 p.m. EDT. Qualifying will be held Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. EDT after which the 36-truck starting field will be impounded until the 4:45 p.m. EDT scheduled race start time.
MRN and XM Satellite Radio will bring live broadcast coverage to fans. SPEED TV coverage will be tape-delayed with a scheduled broadcast time of 8:00 p.m. EDT Friday night.
