Pole Position, a high-quality motorsports magazine previewing the May 20 NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge and May 28 Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway, is now available free of charge at several locations throughout the Charlotte region.

The 80-page magazine can be picked up at area Lowe's, Food Lion, Circle K and Wal-Mart stores and is also available at Concord Mills Mall.

Carl Edwards, one of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing's rising stars, is featured on the cover of Pole Position and the magazine also includes articles on Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler along with a look at the seven drivers attempting to win both the NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series championships.

The magazine also contains valuable pre-race information, including schedules, race previews, driver profiles and maps of the speedway grounds and parking areas. It is filled with high-quality photography from the Lowe's Motor Speedway photo staff and includes a comprehensive children's section, titled Lug Nut's Garage.

May Race Weeks at Lowe's Motor Speedway starts Friday night, May 19, with qualifying for the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge and is followed by the Quaker Steak & Lube 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. The NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, the most exciting all-star event in professional sports, headlines the schedule on Saturday night, May 20.

Racing resumes Wednesday night, May 24, with the Eckerd Outlaw Showdown featuring the World of Outlaws sprint cars at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway. CTC Pole Night on Thursday, May 25, includes qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600 while the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series race is on tap Saturday night, May 27. The action culminates Sunday evening, May 28, with the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event.
