| K-Automotive Ready to Return to Racing
05-05-2006 | TruckSeries.com Report
K-Automotive Motorsports and driver Brad Keselowski announced today their intention to run a partial schedule towards the end of the 2006 season. "Currently we are searching to find different levels of team sponsorship." stated owner Kay Keselowski, "We feel like we can be as competitive as ever with adequate funding. We rebuilt our fleet of trucks at the beginning of the season, and we think they are extremely competitive race vehicles. Our history shows that we have the right stuff to get to victory lane, we just need a sponsor that's willing to join us there." K-Automotive Motorsports driver Brad Keselowski commented on his family's race team and immediate future. "The NASCAR Craftsman truck series is such a great place to be racing right now, the competition is fierce and the atmosphere welcoming. Viewership and fan attendance continue to increase and the Series keeps growing. I'm ready to get back to racing there. Our equipment continues to be more and more competitive. I think we have made great strides in the quality of our equipment since last season, we just need funding to get us to the track with it." Brad Keselowski on his driving plans: "I'm ready to go! My family and our race team are ready as well but just short on funding." As the team is currently seeking funding, Brad continues to search for additional driving opportunities. "The experience I gained last year has made me more and more comfortable in the trucks. I think that if I could have a chance at a quality ride, we could be very successful. Last year we did a lot with very little. We were a 35th place funded team that managed to run in the top-20 many weeks and even scored a top-10. The lessons I learned from last year have made me not only a better driver but also a better person all around. Understanding how to make the most out of the least has become my trademark, hopefully others have noticed that."
