| Team Owner to be Featured on 'Good Morning America Weekend Edition'
04-07-2006 | TruckSeries.com Report
Five members of PIT's school - four of who currently work on NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams - will teach the Good Morning America anchors how to complete a quick pit stop. "The real purpose of PIT other than to train professionals who want to work in racing is to work with and train corporate America," DeLoach said. "It's nice to finally be recognized for being unique. We teach pit stops as part of our team building instruction. PIT has trained a variety of corporations including Intel and United Airlines. This year PIT will train more than 1,200 United Airlines baggage handlers. The goal is to help baggage handlers have more effective "pit stops." "United Airlines is coming out of bankruptcy so they can't buy more airplanes," DeLoach said. "They need to have faster turns - what we call faster pit stops in racing - to have more planes in the sky during the day. And that's where PIT comes in. This is a dead hit on what they are trying to do and what we do. They are racing to improve. Our classes help get their average turn-around time down." The group will travel to New York on Friday. On Saturday morning, the five pit crew members (which includes three team members from Red Horse Racing) will train the Good Morning America anchors on what to do during a pit stop. They will then perform a live pit stop on the Sunday morning broadcast. Check your local listings for viewing information in your area. RedHorseRacing.net Photo
