David Starr, Red Horse Racing, No. 11 Red Horse Racing Tundra:
"This is really special. Jeff Hammond and Tom DeLoach (team owners) gave me this opportunity with Red Horse Racing after the year ended last year. We struggled in the first three races (Daytona, California and Atlanta) and I told them to bear with me, that I would catch up. I told them we've had a good truck the first few races, but the driver just wasn't up to speed yet. I'm just glad to be a part of Red Horse Racing. My Toyota Tundra was awesome today. I'm so excited I can't stand it. I don't know what to do, I can't quit waving this flag."
"After qualifying, I felt bad. I knew we had a pretty good race truck. The driver messed up again in qualifying. I was trying to get a little more than what I should have been, and I went into the first corner and the third turn and messed up the lap. We qualified 15th, but I knew we had a better race truck than that. Boy, it feels good to be here in 'Victory Lane.' This is awesome. I can't believe I'm in 'Victory Lane' at Martinsville Speedway. This is incredible."
"I was loving it that we had those cautions. Jamie Jones (crew chief) asked me if he thought we could go all the way, and I told him, 'I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.' My Red Horse Toyota Tundra was pretty awesome today. I just kept watching Ted Musgrave because I knew he was back there playing with me. I knew I was going to have my hands full with Ted. But, everything worked out great and it feels good to be here."
"Any time you win a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race it's an honor because the series is so competitive. Todd Bodine and Mark Martin have really stepped up this year and have been running really strong - which makes this win really special. It's just my fourth race with Red Horse Racing, and I can't believe I'm here."
"Somebody told me we had record number of cautions during the race, But I didn't really know that. I was only aware of keeping folks behind me. During the cautions I was trying to keep my tires cool and get good runs when the green flag came out. One thing that concerned me was seeing Ted (Musgrave) in my rear view mirror. I knew he was saving his truck to make a run at the end of the race."
Ted Musgrave, Germain Racing, No. 9 Team ASE/Germain Toyota Tundra:
"You could have gave me 100 starts and I don't think I would have caught him. The 11 truck was just the class of the field. I know that feeling - last year at Gateway (St. Louis) was kind of like that. The No. 9 Toyota was good all day. I had a speeding penalty - which I'm still trying to figure out. And we had to restart at the back which kind of changed our strategy to stay out on the old tires the rest of the way. It all kind of panned out and worked out. When we come back in the fall we'll try a different set-up and see if we can be number.
