Evernham Implementing NEXTEL Cup Series Strategy to Truck TeamGlauz Out, Hornaday III in as Truck Director for Crocker - Evernham Motorsports announced today that the No. 98 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Truck Series team will have a new recipe for success for the remainder of the 2006 season. The team will adopt the leadership approach featuring a team director, car director and engineer used by Evernham's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup teams beginning with this weekend's race at Martinsville Speedway.

Evernham Motorsports has promoted Ronnie Hornaday III to take over the duties of truck director. Hornaday has been serving as the truck chief and front tire carrier for the No. 98 Truck team in 2006. On Monday following the race in Martinsville, Va., Evernham will also add a new engineer to the Cheerios/Betty Crocker truck team. This is the same structure that has been very successful for the Evernham Motorsports Nextel Cup teams.

"Everyone within the Evernham organization has been working together to enhance the performance of the No. 98 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Truck team," said Ray Evernham. "This same leadership approach has been very successful with our Cup teams and I believe it will be the same for the Truck team. This is a step we need to take to provide Erin with the best equipment possible."

The No. 9 Busch Series Team Director Trip Bruce and engineer Mike Wolf will also be in Martinsville assisting with the setup and changes on the No. 98 truck, as they were in Atlanta. This is all in an effort to get the truck team in the position to compete for top-10 finishes every week.

Dan Glauz has left the team effective immediately to pursue other opportunities.
