The Mittler Bros. Motorsports team will carry sponsorship from Superchips on its No. 63 Ford for the upcoming Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday April 1.
"Right now it is just a one-race sponsorship, but you never know how these things go," team owner Mike Mittler said. "Hopefully we'll do them a good job in Martinsville and they'll want to continue on. We shook hands on it over the phone today at lunch and the guys here are already working on ordering graphics to go on the truck."
Superchips was the sponsor of one of Mittler's protégés in the past, Carl Edwards, when Edwards drove for the Roush Racing team. Mittler will be debuting a new driver in Martinsville, one he hopes will follow in Edwards' footsteps.
"We'll be bringing another young guy that no one has ever heard of to Martinsville, a guy we're really excited about, Justin Martz (Montana, USA)," Mittler said. "We're really excited about him and we hope he'll do as well in our truck as Carl and Jamie (McMurray) have in the past."
TruckSeries.com will have exclusive TrackSideLive! coverage, including exclusive driver audio clips, TruckShots! photo galleries, and pre-race and post-race analysis of the Kroger 250 starting with practice updates on Friday March 31 Live! Bud Pole Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday April 1 at 12 Noon Eastern.
