MIKE BLISS, NO. 16 XPRESS MOTORSPORTS SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 6TH: "I am pretty happy with that lap. Our Silverado was good yesterday and we got a good lap out of it. This has always been one of my favorite tracks. It is a driver's track and you have to get a good setup under your truck to start the race so you can adjust on it during the race as the track changes the later it gets. I have a good starting spot for the race and I think our truck will continue to get better as the race unfolds."

DENNIS SETZER, NO. 85 CHEVROLET E85 FLEXFUEL SILVERADO QUALIFIED 12th:  ON QUALIFYING EFFORT: "That was a pretty good lap for out FlexFuel Silverado. We would like to be a little closer to the front, but there are some pretty fast trucks out there. But this is a good improvement from before we did our mock qualifying run yesterday so I am pretty excited about how well we qualified. The truck drove better in One and Two than yesterday so that is all we have to do is to keep improving.

ON PRACTICING IN THE AFTERNOON, QUALIFYING IN THE MORNING AND RACING AT NIGHT: "You just have to know where you finished up the day before and hopefully go out and improve a little bit which we were able to do without compromising our race setup. I am looking forward to tonight."

ARIC ALMIROLA, NO. 75 SPEARS MANUFACTURING SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 10th: "That was a great effort for us. We were really struggling yesterday in practice but the guys on this Spears Silverado team worked their behinds off giving me a great truck to qualify. It wasn't the same truck I drove yesterday. They worked as late as the officials would let them last night and came in this morning and finished making the changes and their hard work paid off. It wasn't me; it was the guys on this Spears crew that got this run for us.

"I want to do really well here at California because this is near Spears Manufacturing headquarters so it is important to me to give Wayne and Connie Spears a good showing in their truck. They are great people and I am honored to have this opportunity.

"I feel like we have a good truck to start the tonight. We just need to stay near the front and let the race come to us. I am excited to get the green flag tonight."

MATT CRAFTON, NO. 88 MENARDS SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 30th:
ON QUALIFYING AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY:  "We were horrible. We didn't get the motor cooled down enough so we only got to run one lap. We thought that it would run a 41 second lap or even a 40.9 lap, but it only ran a 41.40, so we were definitely off what we though we were going to run. We have a few little problems that we need to work out. The truck might have a motor problem, and after discussing it with the Menards, we may change motors."

KYLE KRISILOFF, NO 15 DITECH.COM/LAND LIQUIDATORS SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 27TH: ON MAKING QUALIFYING RUN:  "We were really loose out there, we set up the truck for the race, and it is definitely going to get tighter out there tonight, so hopefully our Silverado will be good tonight. We are definitely going to work with tire pressures during the race, and we will hopefully have a good truck at the beginning of the race."

KERRY EARNHARDT, NO. 13 THORSPORT SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 38TH (Used owner's provisional to get into the race-will start 35th:  ON QUALIFYING AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY: "Our laps were junk, we tried a whole different set-up and tried to do what the #88 did, and it hurt us really bad. The truck wouldn't turn, was really tight, and had to stay out of the gas too long, which made for the slowest lap during qualifying. We know that during the race we have a lot of time to work on the truck, we might change a spring or something and try to learn some things."

KRAIG KINSER, NO 47 CENTRIX AUTO FINANCE SILVERADO, DID NOT QUALIFY: "I am disappointed that our CENTRIX Silverado won't be in the race but we did qualify 20th out of the 38 trucks here. It's just the way the system works for getting into a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race. It is an extremely competitive series and there are so many good trucks, it just doesn't give any of us any room to be off even a little bit.

"We turned a few really good laps late in practice yesterday but when I went out to qualify today, we were just too tight and I couldn't get through the corners like I needed to. I feel bad for everyone at Morgan-Dollar Motorsports and MB2. They have worked hard to put this program together for me and have given me great equipment with Randy Goss as the crew chief. But I am a rookie and we knew going into to the season that we faced this challenge of having to qualify every week. The more laps I get under my belt in the truck, the better it will be for our No. 47 team. It will be tough to watch the race and not be in it but we will be pulling for our teammate Dennis Setzer and listening and watching to learn as much as we can."
