JOHNNY BENSON, Bill Davis Racing, No. 23 Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Tundra:
"It drives fine. We felt that we were going to run .50 or .60, but we just didn't run what we expected. Then the No. 22 (Bill Lester) went out and backed up their time. We're a little confused with that. But, it drives good in the draft. I think we'll be decent in the race -- we have a real stable truck. We feel we will be OK."
BILL LESTER, Bill Davis Racing, No. 22 Checkers/Rally's Tundra:
"We backed up what we practiced. We gave it everything we had - and this truck was really strong. I'm really optimistic about about tomorrow because we practiced really well in the draft. One of the things I'm focusing on this year is really closing the deal. I thhink starting up front will bode well."
Will you work together with Bill Davis teammates Johnny Benson and Mike Skinner? "Most definitely. We all work reallly well together. We practiced that in the tests a couple of weeks ago, and in drafting practice yesterday. Once these Tundras get together I think we'll be pretty formidable. I'm hoping that we keep together, take care of each other and settle it at the end."
JOEY MILLER, Darrell Waltrip Motorsports, No. 12 Curb Records Tundra:
"Think this shows how strong the team is and how we worked together to get it done. We worked on the truck quite a bit so it would race good. We were quick in the early rookie practice - and that extra track time helped us. We were a little loose after the first practice, but we were able to fix that, and get it handling good."
TED MUSGRAVE, Germain Racing, No. 9 Team ASE/Germain Toyota Tundra:
"It doesn't really matter where you start here. I know that truck will work in the draft - you can hold it wide open and it will go anywhere you want. That's the way to win races here at Daytona. I'm not worried one bit. It's a really good truck. I'm looking forward to doing a good job for Toyota and Germain Racing."
MIKE SKINNER, Bill Davis Racing, No. 5 Toyota Tundra:
"We had a pretty uneventful qualifying run. The truck drove perfect. That's all we had. We had a gear in more for drafting - rather than for qualifying. I think the truck will draft really, really good. I'm excited about getting ready to race. It's going to be a lot of fun."
DAVID STARR, No. 11 Red Horse Racing Tundra:
"My Tundra was pretty awesome out there. We worked hard on handling throughout the two practices we had. We tried to make a qualifying run during the morning practice, but weren't able to get it done. So, we weren't really sure what we were going to run. We didn't have a clue what we were going to run. We really focused on our race set-up. Looking forward to getting the year kicked off with a new team."
