Stout Joins Alyssa's Army

JC Stout, driver of the No. 91 NASCAR® Craftsman Truck headquartered in rural Castile, NY, announced his support of Alyssa's Army today. Alyssa's Army is a group of caring individuals, businesses and organizations dedicated to raising much needed funds for the family of 5 year old Alyssa Bruno who is battling an inoperable malignant brain tumor. Mounting medical bills have created a large burden on the family that has roots in Warsaw, NY, a neighboring town to Stout's residence in Castile. "This is a grassroots small town effort to help one of their own cope with what no family should have to endure", Stout said today.

While attending a fundraising event last summer, Stout and his Stellar-Quest Racing Team met young Alyssa and her parents. All were captivated by her smile as she sat behind the wheel of the No. 91 Chevy Silverado. "We were very happy to help raise a substantial amount of money for the family that day", Team Manager Don Stout commented.

The relationship between the race team and Alyssa's Army will be furthered in 2006. Plans are in place to represent Alyssa and her valiant fight by placing the group's graphics on the race truck for the entire 2006 racing season. While still searching for major sponsorship, Stout and his team are more than happy to put such meaningful representations where the world can see them. "This association is quite similar to our affiliation with the Hunter's Hope Foundation", PR Director Michelle Maines said. She went on to say, " It is our hope that more people will join Alyssa's Army through our world wide reach via the internet, national, regional and local television, radio, and print."

Though funds are always needed by the Bruno family, showing support can be as simple as sending little Alyssa a card. "I'm told she loves receiving cards in the mail. How easy a thing to make a child smile", Stout said.

As the No. 91 races around the track this season, it will be JC who smiles knowing that by doing what he loves to do, he is helping to keep Alyssa smiling too.
