Roush Racing announced today that The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company will be the primary sponsor for the No. 6 Ford F-150 driven by Mark Martin and David Ragan in the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Martin will make the first start for the team at Daytona International Speedway in the Daytona 250 on February 17.

"I think it's great that two high performance teams, Scotts Miracle-Gro and Roush have teamed up in the grassroots of NASCAR to sponsor the #6 truck in the Craftsman Truck Series. We are proud to be affiliated with veteran star driver, Mark Martin, and new-comer, David Ragan," said Eugene Sung, Senior Vice President and General Manager, NA for the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.

"NASCAR fans look forward to Daytona. The race is the symbolic start of the racing season and also of the arrival of Spring Lawn & Garden for people everywhere. It's an exciting time of year for all of us," Sung continued.

Martin and Ragan have a history that goes back to 2002, when Martin owned the Legends car that Ragan raced in the Pro-Division. Martin, who plans to compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full-time in 2007, needed to select a co-driver to help campaign his No. 6 Ford F-150 in 2006. He didn't have to look far, as Roush Racing: Driver X standout Ragan had just completed a test in Roush's trucks.

"David and I have known each other for a long time," said Martin. "I've watched him advance in his career, and his progress has been remarkable. He's earned this opportunity, and I think he will make the most of it. He's quite a talent, and I'll enjoy working with him in 2006. To be a teammate to him is great, but when I had the chance to select him as my co-driver, it was an opportunity I could not pass up. It's a great opportunity for us to go out and have some fun and win races, and I'm glad to have the support and backing of Scotts Miracle-Gro, an outstanding partner of Roush for the past few years on board with us."

Neither driver is a stranger to Craftsman Truck Series competition. Martin has made three starts, the most recent of which came at Homestead in the 2005 season ending Ford 200. He has one win, at North Wilkesboro Speedway in 1996. In 10 career starts, Ragan has a career-best pair of 19th place finishes at Kentucky and Gateway.

"I'm excited about 2006," said Ragan. "To have a chance to drive for Roush Racing, to have Mark Martin as a co-driver, and to represent a great company like Scotts Miracle-Gro, this is a dream come true.
