No. 08 Dodge To Feature Unique Paint Scheme Honoring Special Olympics Tie-In

Bobby Hamilton Jr. to Run Sponsor TECH-NET at DaytonaBobby Hamilton Jr. has joined forces with TECH-NET Professional Automotive Service (www.technetprofessional.com) and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics (www.specialolympics.org). Hamilton will drive a uniquely designed TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/Law Enforcement Torch Run No. 08 Dodge created to help raise awareness and funding for the Special Olympics at the 2006 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 17th.

"This is a great cause and we are happy to be a part of it," Hamilton Jr. said. "The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. I have a lot of friends in the Law Enforcement community and I am glad that I can be a part of this public awareness program. Thanks to the support from TECH-NET Professional members, I can be involved with this great cause."

Hamilton Jr. has five NCTS starts and has made the most of his limited time in the series. He has two top-five finishes and has led in three of his NCTS starts for a total of 135 laps in truck series competition, narrowly missing wins at Darlington and Nashville. Hamilton Jr. also has an impressive five NASCAR Busch Series wins in his career.

"Like Bobby Hamilton Jr., the professionals at TECH-NET Professional Auto Service Centers lead the way. TECH-NET is proud of its association with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Through our partnership with Bobby Hamilton Jr. and the No. 08 truck, we hope to bring additional awareness to this great cause," said Mike DeSorbo, Director of Market Segments for CARQUEST Corporation.

The season opening race under the lights at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 17th will be the first of 25 races on 22 separate racetracks across the United States for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. All of the NCTS events will be broadcast live nationally on the Speed Channel.
