HT Motorsports and Melling Team Up for Daytona Speedweeks
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

The No. 59 HT Motorsports Dodge, driven by Mike Wallace will team up with sponsor M Select performance engine parts by Melling for the Craftsman Truck Series Daytona 250 on February 17th, 2006. The title sponsor represents Melling's performance line of automotive and truck parts.

The agreement also marks the 28th consecutive year that Melling has had a presence as an owner, associate sponsor or sponsor-dating back to 1979.

"[Team Owner] Jim has put together another strong package that should represent the company well at Daytona," said Melling Owner Mark Melling. "We've enjoyed a great working relationship together now for years," he added.

HT Motorsports has recently announced that veteran Mike Wallace will take over driving duties-at least through the first two events of 2006. Kevin Cram is atop the pit box calling the shots this year, as well.

"We've gone through a lot of changes since the close of last year and for the most part, I am very pleased with the progress," said HT Motorsports team owner Jim Harris. "The guys at the shop have really pulled together and are working very hard-this is a new team and we expect to run well after a good test session," he added optimistically.

"I'm glad that Melling has chosen to have HT Motorsports represent their racing interests for so many years," he continued. "We both certainly hope to find ourselves with a shot to win this thing," he added.
