Keselowski, No. 29 Ford Preview: Homestead

Final Race of 2005 Completes Keselowski's First Full NCTS Season: Brad Keselowski has completed a great accomplishment for a 21-year old, at the conclusion of Friday evening's Ford 200 he will have successfully completed his first full NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.  While Keselowski competed in eight events in 2004; 2005 was his first endeavor into the 25-race nationwide schedule of competition.  At the end of the 2004 season Keselowski attempted to finish out the season by qualifying into the final event at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but missed the field by only hundredths of a second.  This season with a locked in starting position and the confidence of an entire racing season, Keselowski will once again tackle the 1.5-mile speedway looking to end his season on a high note.

"This entire racing season has been a great experience for me," said Keselowski.  "To have the opportunity to race against these caliber competitors every weekend has really improved my driving skills and I think I have grown a lot as this season has progressed.  I am excited about heading back to Homestead for this final race because I really like the race track and I know we have some more horsepower for this race.  I have spent quite a bit of time testing here over the past couple of seasons and we have always been fast when we have tested here so I think with a little better motor this weekend we might be able to show more of what our Samson Stone Ford really has."

The K Automotive team has competed in ten successful seasons of competition with nine starts at the Homestead-Miami Speedway where they have earned four top ten finishes.  Tonight's Ford 200 will be the first start at the speedway for the youngest of the Keselowski family.  Keselowski's father, Bob, earned a seventh place finish at the speedway back in 1998 after starting from the 14th position.  This year Keselowski would like nothing more that to follow in his father's footsteps and score his second top ten finish of the 2005 season.

"We have certainly not had the type of season that K Automotive is capable of in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series," said Keselowski.  "We have struggled with horsepower and older chassis' for most of this season, but we have also managed to stay within the top-25 in points all year.  I really consider that to be an accomplishment in itself.  I think this last race we will be able to show a little more than we have because we have tried to be so conservative and easy on equipment.  It looks like we will finish the points in the 21st position and I feel like that is respectable for my first season in NCTS competition."

Keselowski and the rest of the NCTS field will take the green flag at 8:00pm on Friday evening for the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.  The event will be broadcast live on Speed Channel.
