Chevy Silverado 150 - Official Results
Todd Bodine in Victory LaneTodd Bodine picked up his fourth win and ninth top-3 finish in the last 14 races by taking the checkered flag in the Silverado 150 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. Bodine held off hard charges by both Ron Hornaday and Johnny Benson on the final two restarts to take the win and solidify his third position in the championship battle. Bodine's truck bogged down on the restarts when the shifter was sticky as he came through the gears. Benson nearly clipped Bodine on the second to last restart, and Hornaday pushed Bodine from the start finish line all the way down the frontstretch into turn one on the final restart. But once the field turned in a handful of green flag laps, Bodine would stretch his advantage and pull away.

The fight for the championship remains close after Dennis Setzer finished fifth, but he was only one spot ahead of current point leader Ted Musgrave. Setzer fought back from a spin on the second lap which damaged the right front and left rear of his Chevrolet. Quick work by the crew kept Setzer on the lead lap and he methodically worked his way back through the pack to pick up his first top ten finish since he finished second at Loudon in September. Musgrave unofficially leads by 58 points going into the final event of the season next Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Former Phoenix winner Ron Hornaday finished second with Johnny Benson in third. Rick Crawford, who fought side by side with Benson for several laps in the late stages, finished fourth with Setzer in fifth. Musgrave finished sixth with David Reutimann eighth, Matt Crafton ninth, and Mike Skinner in tenth.

There were seven cautions and one red flag on the night. Bobby East and Deborah Renshaw were involved in a hard crash in turn one that saw East pound the outside wall before being drilled in the driver's door by Renshaw. Both drivers were checked and released from the infield care center. Jimmy Spencer was also involved in a hard crash coming out of turn two which ended his night. He too was checked and released. No injuried were reported in any of the other minor incidents on the night.

The 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season concludes next Friday November 18 with the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
