Chevy Practice Notes: Las Vegas

  Discuss

Jack Sprague, No 16 Chevy Trucks Silverado, 4th in First Practice; 17th in Second Practice: "We haven't quite got our Chevy Trucks Silverado where we need to be for the race tonight.  Near the end of the second practice, we started to get to the point where we will have the right setup to adjust on as the race unfolds.  We weren't where we wanted to be with our qualifying run either but I know my guys and they will change a few things so we can go out and get decent starting spot.  My team gives me good, strong trucks every weekend, so I feel like we will be fine come tonight's race."

Dennis Setzer, No 46 Chevrolet Z71 Silverado, 16th in First Practice; 19th in Second Practice: "We were searching out there a little bit for something in our Z71 Silverado, but I know Eric (Phillips, crew chief) will find what we need for the race.  Our qualifying run was ok. As long as we can get a decent starting spot, we should be fine for the race."

David Starr, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado, 13th in First Practice; 10th in Second Practice: "We were hoping to find a little more in our Spears Silverado before the end of the second practice but I think we will have a good piece for the race.  I am just looking to get a decent qualifying spot and then race hard."

Ron Hornaday, No. 6 GM Goodwrench Silverado, 20th in First Practice; 12th   in Second Practice: "That was a decent practice from the GM Goodwrench team. After we made several adjustments the truck seemed to be much better. We are still a little snug in the middle, but that is something we can work on. We did a qualifying run, but I didn't give it all that I had.  I wasn't used to the way the truck felt after we got it where to be and I think that cost us a little time. We should be fine when it is time to qualify."
