Rookie Preview: Loudon
- Timothy Peters was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the September 8 Cheerios Betty Crocker 200 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. Peters finished 29th and took top rookie honors for the third time this season. He last claimed Raybestos® Rookie of the Race honors June 4 in the MBNA RacePoints 200 (race No. 8) at Dover (Del.) International Speedway where he placed a career-best sixth. Peters plans to run three more races this season: Martinsville (Va.), Atlanta, and Homestead (Fla.).
- Todd Kluever maintains a comfortable lead over Peters in the Raybestos® Rookie standings entering the September 17 Sylvania 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway. He leads Peters by 77 points (217-140).
- Kluever is 15th in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, 25 points behind 14th-place Terry Cook and 26 behind 13th-place Ricky Craven. Kluever leads 16th-place Rick Crawford by 111 points.
- The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a Craftsman Truck Series race is Carl Edwards, who won the 2003 Federated Auto Parts 200 by 1.209 seconds over Ted Musgrave at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway.
- The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to win a pole position for a Craftsman Truck Series race: David Reutimann, who won the pole for the 2004 Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Reutimann logged a lap of 171.255 mph to win the top starting spot.
- The most recent Raybestos Rookie to lead a lap: Kluever, who led once for two laps in the July 2 O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway (race No. 12).
Season Tidbits:
- Kluever owns the best finish and best start by a Raybestos® Rookie in the Craftsman Truck Series this season. In addition to his second-place finish at Indianapolis Raceway Park, he also placed second July 3 at Kansas Speedway, .387 seconds behind winner Todd Bodine. Kluever grabbed the second starting position for the July 10 race at Kentucky Speedway alongside pole winner Bill Lester.
- Raybestos® Rookie Kerry Earnhardt won the pole for the season-opening Florida Dodge Dealers 250, his first pole in his first Craftsman Truck Series start.

- Reutimann was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the 2004 New Hampshire 200, grabbing a fifth-place finish.
- The most recent Raybestos® Rookie to lead a lap at New Hampshire is the late Ricky Hendrick, who led once for 14 laps in 2001.
- Kurt Busch is the only Raybestos® Rookie to win a race since the Craftsman Truck Series began competing at New Hampshire in 1996 (nine races). In 2000, Busch started fifth and led just once, covering the final 35 laps. The New Hampshire race was one of four wins Busch scored that season.
- A Raybestos® Rookie has finished in the top-five in each of the last FIVE consecutive Craftsman Truck Series races at New Hampshire. In fact, a Raybestos® Rookie has logged a top-five in seven of the previous nine races at the 1.058-mile speedway.
