NASCAR.COM to hold 3-day Auction for Fan to Win Once in a Lifetime Opportunity
Turner Network Television (TNT) announced today plans to offer fans an opportunity to ride along* with TNT/NBC analyst Wally Dallenbach on Friday, Sept. 16, and appear in his signature pre-race segment Wally's World driven by State Farm on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 12:30 p.m. ET during the network's pre-race coverage of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Racing from Loudon. The package also includes airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, suite tickets and VIP Access at the track, which includes a garage tour, for two.
"Of all the great people I've had in the car this one is special to me because it has the added benefit of helping a worthy cause," said Dallenbach.
The three-day auction will be held on NASCAR.COM, the official site of NASCAR, beginning TODAY, Saturday, Sept. 10, with all proceeds going to benefit the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund through the American Red Cross. It will be promoted during TNT's coverage of the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 tonight on TNT at 7 pm ET. The pivotal race tonight will determine which drivers will qualify for the Chase for the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup.
Wally's World has featured numerous celebrity guests including Hollywood luminaries Ben Affleck, Jamie Foxx and Quentin Taratino, singers Lisa Marie Presley and Brad Arnold (3 Doors Down), and sports celebrities including USA gold medalists Jennie Finch and Bonnie Blair.
