Mason Motorsports and driver Mike Mason announced today The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence - ASE - had agreed to serve a primary sponsor for the team in two USAR Hooters Pro Cup events this season.

Mason will make his Hooters Pro Cup debut in the No. 75 Team ASE/Snap On Tools Ford Taurus on Saturday, August 13 at Peach State Speedway in Jefferson, GA. The ASE association will continue through the final Hooters Cup regular season event at USA Speedway in Lakeland, FL, Saturday, Sept. 3.

"I'm pretty humbled to be driving a Team ASE sponsored car in my first-ever Hooters Pro Cup race," said Mason. "Everyone recognizes the ASE Blue Seal at their local auto dealership and repair shop. The racing community is very familiar with the Team ASE logo thanks to ASE's long-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series sponsorship and the more than 800 ASE certified local racers and teams it supports through its Grassroots Racing Program. To be included in all that, to be a small part of Team ASE racing is very special to me."

Mason Motorsports moved its racing operation from Bakersfield, CA to Huntersville, NC area earlier this year. Just 18 years old and fresh out of Bakersfield High School, Mason is a 12-year racing veteran of the Go Kart, Late Model and Touring Series Stock Car ranks.

In addition to working his way into the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Southern Division this season, Mason will also begin college in the Charlotte, NC area in the fall working toward a degree in automotive engineering.

Providing the highest quality automotive vehicle repair and service through the education, testing and certification of repair and service professionals has been ASE's mission since 1972. Currently, more than 400,000 automotive repair specialists hold ASE credentials at thousands of dealerships and repair shops worldwide.

"Getting a solid education, no matter what field you choose to be in, is always a solid bet," said Mason. "My parents have always stressed education over racing. We made a big commitment to move to North Carolina and try to advance my racing career, but it was always with the knowledge that I was going to attend college as well. This is a great opportunity for me, both on and off the track. I have to thank ASE president Ron Weiner, everyone at ASE, and my parents for having faith in me and helping me get this incredible opportunity."

Mason and his No. 75 Team ASE/Snap On Ford Taurus will take the green flag at Peach State Speedway on Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The USAR Hooters Pro Cup event will be televised by The SPEED Channel on a taped delayed basis on Saturday, August 20, at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
