Chevrolet Team Silverado To Tackle Dover 'Monster Mile' - Tony Stewart to Pilot No. 47 Chevrolet Morgan Dollar Motorsports Silverado  Chevrolet Team Silverado drivers are set to tackle Dover's "Monster Mile" in MBNA RacePoints 200.  The June 3rd event is the eighth of the 25-race 2005 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Dennis Setzer, Jack Sprague, Ron Hornaday and David Starr will be joined by 2002 NASCAR Cup champion Tony Stewart for the Dover weekend.  Stewart will drive the No. 47 Morgan Dollar Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado for the second time in 2005.

Stewart has unfinished business after a crowd-pleasing run at Charlotte from his back-of-the-field starting position to the top-10 ended with mechanical problems on lap 65 of the scheduled 134-lap race. The Indiana native was forced to start from the back after an engine change negated his 19th place qualifying effort.  The mechanical issue surfaced during practice and qualifying and despite the best efforts of the Randy Goss led team, they resurfaced during the race sidelining Stewart.

"We had a problem yesterday with a surge and missed most of the second practice chasing the problem", Stewart said after the race. "Randy Goss (crew chief) and all the guys on the No. 47 team worked so hard, I wish you could have seen how hard they worked on this truck.  They changed every single fuel line; all the electrical and finally the motor but it came back on the third lap of the race tonight and just kept getting worse. 

"I love running this truck series.  I got a couple wins with Andy Petree at Richmond and had a good run last fall with this team and finished third.  This is a great series to race, you really get to race I look forward to coming back and racing for these guys again."

Dennis Setzer is coming off his seventh place finish at Charlotte and currently sits fifth in the 2005 NCTS championship point battle.  In 2004, Setzer and his No. 46 Chevrolet Silverado finished a disappointing 18th at Dover after running in the top-10 all day. A rear tire problem during a pit stop put the 2004 NCTS championship runner-up back in the field and ill-timed caution periods ended his chances to make it back to the front of the field.

Jack Sprague and the No. 16 Chevy Trucks team head to Dover after a disappointing finish at Charlotte.  The three-time NCTS champion was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and sustained damage in an accident that put him behind the wall for 25 laps.  Sprague finished ninth at the Monster Mile in 2004. He currently sits 10th in the NCTS point standings.

Ron Hornaday will make his first run on the famed Delaware one-mile track in the No. 6 GM Goodwrench Silverado this weekend but the two-time NCTS champion is no stranger to the place. In nine NASCAR Busch Series starts, Hornaday has four top-10 finishes.  He rides sixth in the 2005 NCTS point standings, just 158 points behind the leader.

David Starr brings the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado to Dover hoping to improve his eighth-place 2004 Dover finish. The Texas native ran in the top-10 all day with a very strong truck but a green-flag stop followed by a yellow flag sent him deep in the field and he had to battle his way back toward the front. Starr is coming off a 19th place finish at Charlotte and rides 12th in the standings.

Practice for the MBNA RacePoints 200 will begin on Thursday June 2, 2005 with one session from 11:30 a.m. - 12:40 p.m. and the final session set for 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. Trucks impounded after qualifying. The race will take the green flag at 4:45 p.m EDT on Friday, June 3. The 200lap/200-mile race will have live flag-to-flag television coverage provided by SPEED.  The race can also be heard on MRN Radio as well as XM Satellite Radio.DRIVER:  DENNIS SETZER

ON RACING AT DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY: ""Dover is a very fast, high-banked track that really isn't like any other track that we race on.  You can unload off the truck fast, but by the time the race starts the track has changed tremendously.  We have our final practice at one-thirty pm on Thursday and qualify at five-o'clock pm.   Then we don't race until almost five on Friday.  In between, all the Cup and Busch cars will practice and qualify and will lay down a lot of rubber and the track will get a lot tighter.  So it is so hard to get your truck set up just right for the race.

"Last year, we had a decent run going until we got caught a lap down under caution like everyone else.  The truck we are bringing was the truck that won Texas last year and it's a good race truck.   Eric (crew chief) is new to our program this year and I believe he will bring a lot of knowledge from his experience here at Dover that will give us a good shot at running well here."

ON RACING AT DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY: "I wasn't that good in Dover last year and hopefully the Chevy Trucks Silverado will be better this year.  I've had some really good runs in Dover even in the Cup car but just haven't had a win.  I just need to win a race I don't care where it's at. Hopefully it will be a victory this week in Dover in the No. 16 Chevy Trucks NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Silverado.

"I'm not very happy where I am in points at this point in the season.  The guys put a good truck underneath me week in and week out. We have the right truck in our Chevy Silverado but we've been on a roll of misfortunes so far.  It's going to take not getting run over; finishing the race and not have any trouble.  Its time to go racing, its time to race more often and starting the upcoming streak of Craftsman Truck Series races should help.  You can get some momentum rolling and it helps.  It helps my focus from track to track and I seem to pick up when we are racing consistently.

ON RACING AT DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY: "I'm looking forward to taking the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet Silverado to Dover this week.  I've had some great finishes in the past there but haven't put it into Victory Lane there so that's my goal to put the No. 75 Chevy Silverado in Victory Lane.  Last year we started 22nd and brought home a top-10 finish.  Dover is a fun track, fast and with the banking it makes for an exciting race for the competitors and the fans.  I'm sure that this years Craftsman Truck race won't be any different.

"Our season has been disappointing so far.  It seems we are a magnet for people getting into us.  We've had some good finishes but the finish we need is in Victory Lane and I plan on giving it my all to have the Chevy Silverado there this weekend in Dover.  Dave McCarty, my crew chief and the guys give me an awesome race truck week in and week out we just seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time but I'm ready to change all that.  I like racing back to back and am looking forward to the upcoming streak of Craftsman Truck Series races.  Hopefully it will change our luck and we'll bring the Spears Manufacturing back to Victory Lane.  Winning takes care of a lot of problems- now I just need that win for my team."

Our crew chief Wally has been telling the guys all year that after we got through Charlotte we should start to roll. We knew where we needed to be at this point and we are a little further back than we wanted to be, but completely still in reach of our goal. This is a critical time for the GM Goodwrench team and I know that my guys will respond. Dover will be a good track for us and we look to be in victory lane this weekend."
