Kyle Busch has been named to drive the No. 15 ditech.com Chevy for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the Quaker Steak and Lube 200 this Friday night at Lowe's Motor Speedway.  Busch made his series debut at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2001, and made one start in the Morgan-Dollar Motorsports No. 47 Chevrolet last season, also coming at Indianapolis.

Busch will take a break from his duties as the driver of the No. 5 Kellogg's Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series to make his first NCTS start of 2005.

Busch will become the third driver to take the reins of Ballew's No. 15 Chevys so far in 2005.  Kerry Earnhardt started the first two races of the season in the BBM No. 15, earning the Bud Pole at Daytona and recording a top finish of 17th at the California Speedway.  Shane Hmiel has made four starts since he rejoined the team at Atlanta recorded the team's best finish of 2005 when he came home third at Mansfield.

"I would like to thank Hendrick Motorsports and ditech.com for the opportunity to go to Charlotte with Kyle Busch as our driver," Ballew said.  "This deal all came together at 5 o'clock Monday night.  We're really excited about it.  Thankfully we have a strong enough relationship with Richie Gilmore and everyone at DEI that we will still have DEI engines with us.  We can't thank them and everyone at Chevrolet enough for all of their assistance this year."

Ballew credits Hmiel for willingly stepping out of the truck to allow the team to pursue an opportunity to build a relationship that could result in a full-time sponsor for the team.

"We've worked for a long time to build this team and get a major sponsor," Ballew said.  "I can't say enough about Shane Hmiel and what he means to this team.  He's not only the driver, but he's a real good friend of mine.  We had a long talk about this and he told me to go ahead and do what we need to do what's best for the team.  I am optimistic about our chances for success this weekend, and I am sure that we will have some more success with Shane in the future."

Busch has seven career series starts with two top-10 finishes, coming at Indianapolis and Las Vegas in 2001.  Busch's most memorable NCTS finish came at Chicago Motor Speedway in '01 when he led 17 laps late in the race and looked to be a winner until running out of fuel with just 12 laps to go.  Busch finished 11th in his only series appearance in 2004 at IRP.
