| Homestead-Miami Speedway To Expand With New Turn One Tower
04-22-2005 | TruckSeries.com Report
First, it was the computer-designed, 20-degree variable banking. Then,
Homestead-Miami Speedway announced the addition of lights for prime-time racing.
Now, due to high demand for premium seating and hospitality, the Turn One Tower
will provide individuals and corporations a new opportunity to experience
championship NASCAR racing while enjoying state-of-the-art amenities during
November's Ford Championship Weekend.
Homestead-Miami Speedway will expand this year with the addition of the
16-suite, approximately 800-premium club seat Turn One Tower, announced Speedway
President Curtis Gray. Construction on the project is scheduled to begin on
Monday, April 25 and be complete in time for the 2005 Ford Championship Weekend,
the season-finales for the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, NASCAR Busch Series,
and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, November 17-20.
"With Ford Championship Weekend continuing to emerge as one of the nation's
premier sporting events, the Turn One Tower is yet another step, along with the
banking and the lights, in making NASCAR's championship speedway that much
better," said Gray. "The addition of the new Turn One Tower will provide a
unique, never-before-seen hospitality experience for our guests."
The Turn One Tower provides guests with a spectacular view of the entire track
and all the racing action from above turn one of the Speedway. A total of 16
private, totally enclosed suites will sit above the approximately 800-seat Turn
One Club.
The 16 private Turn One suites will each seat 32 people and feature comfortable
indoor seating, closed-circuit televisions, a wet bar, and catering.
The indoor, air-conditioned Turn One Club features a private dining area with
buffet and full-liquor bars, plasma televisions with live feed, and outdoor,
reserved chair-back seating. Members of the Turn One Club will also enjoy
reserved parking, exclusive elevator and lavatories, the pre-race track pass,
and a $200 food and beverage credit that can be used throughout Ford
Championship Weekend.
The new expansion is further indication of the continuing growth of
Homestead-Miami Speedway and Ford Championship Weekend. The Speedway is
currently installing lights that will allow this year's Ford Championship
Weekend to be held for the first time in prime-time, under the lights. In 2003,
the Speedway underwent a major track reconfiguration project whereby the track's
banking was increased to a maximum of 20 degrees using a state-of-the-art,
variable banking system that created more exciting racing action for the fans.

"The Turn One Tower, just like grandstand tickets for Ford Championship Weekend,

added Gray. "We encourage individual fans and businesses alike to reserve their
spot in the Turn One Tower before it's too late."
