Dennis Worden, who has media relations experience at several colleges and universities, has been named Manager of Public Relations for Michigan International Speedway, Director of Public Relations Bill Janitz announced today.

Worden, a Concord, Michigan native, who now lives in Hillsdale, Michigan, previously served as the Director of Sports Information for Hillsdale College the past three years. Prior to Hillsdale, he spent time working in media relations with Wayne State University, Alma College and the University of Texas. He is a 1999 graduate of Central Michigan University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in journalism. In addition, Worden also spent three seasons (2002-2004) working on the race weekend media center staff for MIS.

"We are pleased to have Dennis Worden join the Michigan International Speedway public relations staff," said Janitz. "Dennis is an energetic person who takes great pride in taking care of the media and his experience will be a great asset to our facility. I'm very excited to have a public relations team together that I know will do a great job at assisting media in their coverage of our facility."

"As a longtime community member, I've been a fan of MIS and racing throughout my life," said Worden. "This is an exciting time for Michigan International Speedway and I'm thrilled to be apart of the staff at the state's largest sporting facility. I'm really looking forward to working with media members and everyone in the racing industry."
