NOTES & QUOTES
- Kluever will drive the No. 50 World Financial Group Ford F-150 at Atlanta. This will be the first of 15 races World Financial Group will be the primary sponsor on the truck.
- The No. 50 team will be taking chassis #36 to Atlanta. This is the same truck Kluever drove to a fourth-place finish two weeks ago at California.
- Kluever's fourth-place finish at California was his first top five in only his second start in the Craftsman Truck Series.
Todd Kluever on Atlanta:
"I'm excited about racing at Atlanta. We tested there at the end of January for two days so at least I have some experience there. I also tested my ASA car there last year, although I ended up not running the race for financial reasons."
"The first time I went out during the truck test and made a few laps, I needed to catch my breath after I came in the garage because it's a very fast track. It probably won't seem as fast once you get out there with the other trucks during the race. If you are running 80 mph down the highway, not that I do that, but if all the other cars are running the same speed it doesn't seem like you are going that fast. You don't get a sense of speed when everyone around you is going just as fast. That seemed to be the case at Daytona and California, so I figure it will hold true at Atlanta as well.
"This will be our first truck race with World Financial Group. They were on my ARCA car at Daytona, so hopefully this time we can give them some good publicity and keep all four wheels on the ground. They are also sponsoring the race so it would be great to get another strong finish for them."
