Huffman Celebrates Ten Year Relationship with National Fruit Product Company

National Fruit Product Company's White House brand has been a household name and a race sponsor of Robert Huffman's for nearly a decade.

"In 1996, we began sponsoring Robert Huffman in the No. 37 car in the Dash Series," said William Armstrong, assistant vice president of National Fruit Product Co., Inc. "We continued with Robert in the Dash Series through the 2003 season after which NASCAR discontinued sanctioning the Dash Series."

"This is the tenth year White House has supported my racing efforts," said Huffman. "This is a family sport and they are a family brand. It makes sense for their company to be affiliated with a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team because NASCAR fans are brand loyal."

With the help of White House, Huffman made waves in the NASCAR Dash Series eventually becoming a five-time champion ('90, '98, '99, '00, '03) recording 42 wins. When Huffman decided to move to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Toyota Motorsports, it was a natural progression for White House.

"When Robert moved up to the Craftsman Truck Series in 2004, we went with him as a partial sponsor," said Armstrong. "Robert has done an outstanding job as spokesman for White House Products. Robert and his family have become a part of our family. There is much more to racing than just winning from a sponsor's point of view. The driver must be a representative of the company as well as a spokesman and conduct himself in a responsible manner. We are proud to have Robert represent the White House name."

Last season, Huffman collected six top-10 finishes in 24 starts driving the No. 12 Toyota Tundra with White House as an associate sponsor. Associated with Darrell Waltrip Motorsports this year, Huffman's strong showing at Daytona International Speedway and California Speedway has the Claremont (N.C.) native optimistic about the 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

"We ran really well at both Daytona and California," said Huffman. "I feel like this is the best shot I've had to be competitive and be in contention to win races. I am thankful for the opportunity Toyota has given to me and the support White House has shown me over the years."

After a two-week hiatus, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visits Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday, March 18th. The World Financial Group 200 begins at 9:00 p.m. Eastern live on SPEED Channel. MRN Radio will broadcast the event.
