Michael Faulk 2005 Truck Series Debut Set for Martinsville

In preparation for the upcoming 2005 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series season, MB3 Motorsports and its driver Michael Faulk have been busy at work preparing their stable of cars.  Faulk will pilot the #53 Pontiac in the Southern Division and compete for the Rookie of the Year honor. In what could possibly be the most competitive year in the history of the USAR, this emerging team and its rookie driver have left no stone unturned in their preparation.

In addition to building two brand new cars for the season, the team has secured a new engine program and purchased a brand new transporter for their campaign.   General Manager Lee Faulk has been busy putting the right people in place to support the race efforts.  The team tested this past week at Ocala Speedway as they shook down one of their new hot rods and will do so a few more times before the season begins.

"We developed this race program from the ground up with the intention of forming a championship organization," said team owner Michael Burton.  "It has been a lot of work and a good learning experience for us and I think we have the makings of something special here.  I am ready to get the season underway and see where we stack up."

The MB3 Motorsports team was originally formed to field two entries in the 2005 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series.  After a few changes in the organization, it was decided to field only the single entry in an effort to be more efficient and to assist in the acceleration of advancing to the next level of racing.

With that, MB3 Motorsports announces that it will compete in select races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the 2005 season.  The team recently purchased two DODGE trucks from Ultra Motorsports and has tentatively scheduled its debut at the next level for the April 9th event at the Martinsville Speedway.

"One of our goals with this race program is to produce a top-notch team at whatever level we compete," stated Burton.  "We have put a tremendous amount of work into what we are doing and I think we have a good young talent in Michael (Faulk).  We are still trying to finalize some sponsorship for the season but that is a never ending process in this business."

The MB3 Motorsports team and Michael Faulk will make their 2005 debut in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series season opener at the USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida on February 26th.
