Dennis Setzer, No. 46 Chevrolet Silverado (1st in practice):

On DIS test day:   "We are pretty happy with our Chevrolet Silverado.  The speed was there all along, we have been fast but we had to try a few things to get it to handle in the draft.  We had a goal when we came down here was to learn as much as we could about what we needed to do in February without hurting our truck.  We accomplished what we needed to this afternoon and tonight so we are going to load up and head back to North Carolina.  Then we will take this information to Talladega for one more test to tweak things a little more before practice starts down here before the race. We were a loose right off the hauler, which seemed to be a problem a lot of trucks. But things continually got better as the evening went on and I really do think it was beneficial for us be able to get to run at night.   It gives us a better feel for how the things will be during the race next month."

Davis Starr, No. 75 Spears Racing Silverado (8th in practice):

On DIS test day:  "We are still not quite as happy with our Silverado tonight.  Dave McCarty and the guys just kept trying different things to educate ourselves.  We know what the problem is we are just trying to figure out how fix it.  I am excited that we know what the problem is.  We're just crossing our fingers hoping to get it fixed.  We were really not happy with the truck when we first went out to test.  We really struggled and struggled.  It has been a really tough test.  That is why it is a test and we are learning.  I am confident that tomorrow we'll have an even better truck.  I'm excited when Dave McCarty smiles and thinks he knows how to fix the problem that gets me pumped up as well.  I am glad the weather moved out and we were able to test. We really needed it.  We learned a lot today and this evening and we are looking forward to the day tomorrow."

Ron Hornaday, No. 6 GM Goodwrench Silverado (25th in practice): "The GM Goodwrench Silverado was loose, loose, loose today.  After we almost got wrecked twice, we decided it was time to shut it down for tonight and come back tomorrow and make a fresh start. We got one of our trucks handling a little better but sometimes it is just better to take a step back and let everything clear a little and then we will come back tomorrow with a better perspective. I know we will get where we need to be by next month but the crew guys and I are still learning each other so it will take us just a little more time together as a team."

Kerry Earnhardt, No 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Silverado (9th in practice):  "It was a pretty good day for us.  We learned a lot about our Silverado this afternoon and tonight.  The definitely handle differently than a car here but they draft good.  There is more in there for us, I feel good about how we will be come race time next month."
