Now, as they say, things get interesting.

Friday's Texas Truck Series event featured a short field of just 33 starters and based on the level of competition and the early retirement rate, it appeared that 10 of the trucks on the starting grid were 'start and park' entries. None of the trucks in the final 10 positions of the race completed more than 26 laps or a full fuel/tire run in Friday's WinStar World Casino 400 at Texas - all of them falling out of the race with reasons like 'Vibration, Overheating, Ignition and Handling.' One truck was listed out at 'Too Slow.'

Erik Darnell’s dramatic victory over Johnny Benson a year ago was the closest NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finish since the advent of computer scoring. Darnell took the win by .005 seconds which works out to about a quarter inch of bumper cover. The dramatic ending to the Michigan 200 left many fans buzzing. Others merely smiled knowingly.

Hornaday, the leader by 84 points entering five consecutive weekends of racing in late May, remains in the No. 1 position. He leads Matt Crafton (No. 88 Menards Chevrolet) by 76 points.
