Colin Braun won the pole award for the Mountain Dew 250 with a lap of 53.316 (179.608 mph). This is his fourth pole in 48 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. Terry Cook (second) posted his ninth top-10 start of 2009 and his first in four races at Talladega Superspeedway. Max Papis (third) posted his first top-10 start at Talladega. Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola jumped past leader Todd Bodine on the frontstretch of the last lap at Talladega Superspeedway to finish 1-2 in Saturday's Mountain Dew 250. It was the first 1-2 finish for Billy Ballew Motorsports and the fifth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in a row Busch has won when driving the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra.
